Waterman Lines Part I

Reflex

Waterman ReflexThe Waterman Reflex was Issued in the late 90s, this is considered a school pen and was available in Europe. It has a plastic body, silk-screen print design, steel nib and fills with either a cartridge or onverter.

Kultur

Waterman KultureThe Waterman Kutlur is another model that was issued in the late 90s this is a school type pen, and came in a variety of colours, including a clear plastic body, steel nib and fills with a cartridge or converter. It looks like the Phileas.

Phileas

This pen came onto the market in the mid 90s. Waterman PhileasWhen I bought and wrote with my first Phileas I remember saying: if they can make this pen for $50 bucks then why are we spending so much more on other models.

The pen is named after the character, Phileas Fogg in Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne. This is counter to the art deco look of the pen, a style not uet in place at the time of the Jules Verne book.

The barrel of the pen is half-brass line and this gives the pen some weight. The body and cap are made from colourful plastic. The pen has a ery good two-toned gold plated steel nib. The pen is 5 3/8 inches long, 5 3/4 inchs with the cap posted. The body is 1/2 inch wide, so the pen has a good overall size.

The fountain pens fills by cartridge or converter.
