For those in Melbourne Australia there is Pen City, located in the heart of Melbourne's central business district. They have been in business for over 20 years providing a strong range of pens. They even have the Curtis pen, the only fully Australian-made pen. In addition to pens, there is a range of papers such as Rhodia, Claire Fontaine, Moleskine and Leuchtturn 1917. (I have yet to try the Leuchtturn brand.)

The store also provides repair services on vintage and current pens. John, the store owner, is said to be a master hand when it comes to restoring vintage Parker, Sheaffer, Conway Stewart and other vintage pens.

So here is a store with a broad selection, an "intimate old-school" customer service.
Thanks John for sending me the information.

I have heard very good comments from a number of people about this family-owned store. Positive comments include that the staff have a combined expertise of more than 40 years with pens.

Located on Queen Street in Melbourne, Australia, the store provides a selection of writing instruments and desk accessories. Readers of this site have written about the great customer service received from the staff. The store carries major lines such as Cross, Waterman, Faber-Castell, S.T. Dupont, Parker, Lamy, Rotring, Cristian Sorrel, Artex, Sheaffer, Fisher, Retro 51, and Pelikan. The price points cover pens form the $5 to $25,000 range.

Susan Spiers wrote me about this pen store in Western Australia. The store, previously a tobacconist and pen shop now only sells pens. Along with the leading brands of pens, the store sells a wide variety of inks and accessories that include ink wells, paper weights and papers for writing.

So whether you are a pen person or enjoying writing there is something of interest in the store such as a selection of wax seals and sealing waxes with lovely burners to use with them. Linda and Katie, mother and daughter, run the shop with a passion. Great ready for great personal service.

Whether selecting a pen to purchase, or needing help with the repair of a pen, T. Sharp is a place to visit.
