Bert Oser at Bertram's Inkwell Bertram's has been in the pen business since 1985. A store with knowledgeable staff and the store receives positive reviews.

I am pleased to hear that you fill be encouraged to try a pen to see how it writes and how it feels in the hand.

The website, one of the first sites for a major pen store, offers a very good range of products, information about pen shows and a Frequently Asked Questions section.

Although I have not had the opportunity to visit the store, I certainly enjoyed reading about Bert Oser and his store in the June 2010 issue of Pen World. "Bertram's Inkwell, the suburban Washington pen shop that Oser opened when he was just twenty-one, is celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary this June."

Located at the rear of Then & Again Antiques in Annapolis, MD, here is a very nice pen shop. It is located in the rear portion of a large antiques dealer.

Warren Granek, the owner, is very knowledgeable about pens and also does repair work. He sells mainly vintage pens of all makes and models, and has some modern ones as well. There is also ink, cartridges, and other goodies. While Mr. Granek is only there on Saturdays, the pens are available to be seen daily by speaking with one of the antiques store personnel who will allow the customer to handle and ink the pens.
