The Trip: Rome - The Amalfi Coast - The Veneto - Toscana

The planning is well underway and it looks like it is shaping up to be another great time in Italy.

We will be again traveling with our friends the Grants. We will each leave Canada on different days and start the vacation at different locations joining up in Amalfi during the second week.

• We will be starting in Rome and will be renting a penthouse apartment with a large patio so that we can enjoy being in Rome. Who knows, we may even through a party and invite some of the people we know in Rome! It is a big patio. The Grants start the trip in Amalfi and have made arrangements to stay at the stunning Villa Scarpariello (see Rome | Amalfi) which is located not far from Amalfi and associated with the Hotel Villa San Michele.
• We all meet up the following week at the outstanding Hotel Villa San Michele (see Amalfi) where we will enjoy once again being at the hotel and visit Amalfi as well as other locations along the Amalfi Coast.
• We will next drive up to the Veneto Region (see Venice) where we have rented a villa apartment. Venice and some towns of the Veneto. Wonderful.0.
• We will then visit Tuscany and stay at the Borgo Pietrafitta near Castellina in Chianti. (see Tuscany). This is a return for us to Borgo Pietrafitta and there is lots to see in this part of Tuscany.
• From there we split with the Grants returning to Rome, and we will be travelling in the Lazio Region. We have booked ourselves into a 12th Century Castle!
