Italy 2012

We never let go of one vacation without having our finger tips on the next.

We arrived back from our Italy-France vacation in October and the planning started for a trip to Italy in 2012.

We have a great trip planned flying Vancouver to Rome and then taking the train to Tuscany. There we pick up a car and spend most of the week in this favorite area of Italy. From there we take a train to Naples and spend the next week in Amalfi with a few days in Napoli. Glenn is making arrangements to visit the Delta pen company in Naples. From Naples it is back to Rome where we have an apartment for most of the week before we leave for Sardegna. Then it is back to Rome for a couple of days and a visit with our friend Marco of Novelli Pen and then back to Vancouver.

Partiamo ora il piano

Abbiamo un grande viaggio pianificato.

Arriviamo a Roma e prendere il treno per la Toscana. Passeremo la maggior parte della settimana godersi la zona.

Poi prendiamo il treno per Napoli e poi in auto per Amalfi. Avremo alcuni giorni a Napoli. Glenn spera di visitare l'azienda Delta penna a Napoli.

Torneremo a Roma, dove abbiamo un appartamento per la maggior parte della settimana prima di partire per la Sardegna.

Alla fine torniamo a Roma per un paio di giorni prima di tornare a Vancouver.

Tuscany

Tuscany is a great area to relax and explore an endless number of interesting towns, all surrounded by great scenry.

Amalfi

Time to relax on the Amalfi Coast. Returning to Amalfi - it is so familiar.

Rome

We arrive in Rome and we have rented the Ginnasi Palace Penthouse Apartment. It is located not far from the Trevi Fountain and the Piazza Navona. Great for Glenn as that means we are located within ten minutes of Novelli, the leading pen store in Rome.

Civitavecchia

We will leave Rome and spend an evening ion Civitavecchia, the position ourselves ready for the almost day long ferry trip to Sardinia. We have never been hear before but the hotel we have booked is right on the water. So, there will be time for a walk through the old city, explore the fortress and perhaps the cathedral.

Sardegna

This year we travel to the island of Sardegna.

We have planning yet to complete, but we are already booked into the Hotel Gabbiano Azzurro in Golfo Aranci.

Rome ... and home

We end our trip with a return to Rome, visit some friends and then return to Vancouver.
