LA QUERCETA
Villa La Querceta — located 2 km from Orvieto, this was our home for the first week of the trip.
Eight friends got together and we rented the villa for a wonderful week.
Not only was the Villa stunning, but what made this stand out from other villas we had rented on previous trips was how well stocked it was in terms of dishes, cooking equipment etc. We were never wanting for anything.
There was a large pool and we made sure we dedicated some pool time. An important consideration as it is easy to have the week fly by and find that all the time was spend travelling to see the various sights of Umbria and Tuscany.
Our "events" that we planned for the week included:
- Cooking class with Velia de Anglais
- Invitation to the Falesco Wine Festival
- Lunch at the Banfi Estate - five courses each paired with the appropriate wine
- Trips to Siena, San Gimignano, Orvieto, Assisi and Orbetello
