While everyone did their own thing during the day, we all met for dinner in the evening. There were two group events planned: The Boat Charter and Cooking with Mamma Agata.

Mamma Agata started cooking at the age of thirteen. She went to work for a wealthy American who had a villa in Ravello. Her cooking became a natural. The guests for whom Mamma Agata cooked included Fred Astair, Humphrey Bogart, Anita Eckberg and Jacqueline Kennedy. She continued to cooked and was called upon to cooked for politicians and writers such as Agnelli and Gore Vidal. Today, she runs a cooking school from her home in Ravello, high in the hills above the Amalfi Coast.

For the group participating in the kitchen, our van picked up us at 9:30. We met Chiara on the stunning terrace to enjoy some of Mamma's Lemon Cake and then it was off to the kitchen. The rest of the group would joined us just after 1:00 and the eating would begin.

Chiara provides samples of Mamma's incredible tomato sauce. Mamma works the batter to prepare the zucchini flowers. Geoff pays careful attention as he prepares a dish.
Mamma's cooking? It is all in the hands. Margot, Colleen, Glenn and Geoff in the kitchen. The three Chefs: Glenn, Chris, and Geoff.

The lunch was incredible. We ate until we could literally eat no more. Some decided to walk down the hill back to the hotel - a 5 km walk down endless stairs. Others took the van and then relaxed out back on the dock.
